Ah-What-If the US Government shut down?  That question and treat is looming on the faces of our government officials; as Democrats and Republicans are facing a government shutdown deadline of April 8. 

This may be the 2nd time that I've experienced this in my life time. Back in 1995, Republicans were penalized in public opinion during a 1995 government shutdown, this time no one knows who to really blame.

However, one thing is imminent, the threat of a government shutdown is high and carries high political stakes.  Who is to blame is the big question. But it's not just a question of which party to blamed for this gridlock, but inquiring minds wants to know which party can frame the budget debate in a way that carries public support.

Mark Trumbull, Staff writer for the Christian Science Monitor, ask the question,  "Are deep spending cuts the path to a stronger economy and a sounder government?"

He noted that, "If the public sides with that view, then Republicans may come out as winners, whether or not a temporary shutdown occurs." Are tea-party Republicans seeking to gut popular programs like Medicare in order to achieve their goal of smaller government? If the public comes down on this side, then Democrats may stand to win. A Flying Submarine Explored Our Oceans Deepest Depth?

Sir Richard Bronson to Explore The Deepest Depth Of Our Ocean in his Flying Submarine.

The Christian Science Monitor reported that on Tuesday 4-5-2011 British tycoon Richard Branson unveiled the one-man Virgin Oceanic Sub, a flying submarine, which is capable of diving seven miles underwater to the deepest points in the ocean. Take a look at the video below and leave me your thoughts.

Mr. Branson has first position on entrepreneurs in unveiling Virgin Oceanic, the newest branch of his multifaceted Virgin Group best known for its music and his airline companies. He aims to set some 30 Guinness World Records as his flying submarine makes five dives in five oceans over two years. As of now his craft is the world's only submarine capable of taking a human to such extreme depths.

Sir Richard Bronson is one of the coolest billionaires you can ever meet and the Christian Monitor referred to him as, "the intrepid Branson certainly shows no timidness – a flaw he sees in today's global businessmen. I urge you to read the full story here.

Would You Like it if Our Educational System Was to Change?

Ah-What If- someone asked you, "What do Microsoft’s Bill Gates, Apple’s Steve Jobs, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, and Virgin’s Richard Branson have in common"?  Would your answer be...."They all dropped out of school."

Why? Billionaire Sir Richard hints that schools, at least in Britain, fail to teach future entrepreneurs how to take risks while wasting time "overeducating" them on needless things, according to a confidential US diplomatic cable passed to the Guardian from WikiLeaks (available on the Guardian’s website, but not yet uploaded to WikiLeaks.ch).

Branson's comments seem to have struck a chord with business professors and professionals on both sides of the Atlantic, perhaps indicating a growing sense in the business world that many of today's institutes are not keeping pace with real-world demands. The UK publication Management Today writes that Branson "raises an interesting issue – especially when soaring tuition fees might make some people think twice about heading down the university route."

"There is a growing urgency to teach entrepreneurship and innovation that is directly related to the decline of innovation in the American economy," says Dr. Dennis Ceru, who teaches courses on entrepreneurship and business strategy at Babson College in Wellesley, Mass.
